Develop growth of the organic product portfolio

• You will drive profitability of the international desk of Grains & Cereals, through purchase and sales, cost price calculations, contract formulation and execution etc.
• You keep track of the results and suggest corrective action plans when needed.
• You are responsible for the inventory positions within this category.
• You help formulating the sales budgets for the category.
• You manage supplier relationships, and ensure all supplier meet our stringent vendor approval requirements.
• You ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
• You handle commercial issues/complaints.
• You suggest new trade opportunities and product development.
• You keep track of international market developments.
• You continuously improve work procedures and systems of the desk.
• You visit existing as well as potential clients and suppliers (inter)nationally.
• You will visit trade related exhibitions.

Job requirements

• BsC/MsC level of working an thinking.
• Experience in trading (organic) food ingredients.
• Experience in an import/export environment.
• Affinity with food business and the organic industry.
• Proven contract negotiation skills.
• Awareness of relevant quality and food safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Excellent English language skills (written, spoken).
• Command of Dutch, and German language are a plus.
• Good understanding of the overall organic supply chain process dynamics, from farm origin to production and delivery of the right quality food products.
• Willingness to travel, also internationally (about 20%).
